Requirements

• A relevant qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field (e.g., Bachelor's or Master's degree).
• Professional registration with a relevant South African council (e.g., HPCSA, SACSSP) is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working as an addiction counselor or in a similar therapeutic role.
• Proven experience in conducting assessments and delivering individual and group therapy for addiction.
• Strong knowledge of addiction theories, treatment modalities (e.g., CBT, MI), and recovery principles.
• Excellent active listening, empathy, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage challenging client behaviors and crisis situations effectively.
