Job summary

Cape Town, ZA-based MCI is seeking Customer Service Agents to support a B2B payables campaign. You will assist business customers and suppliers with invoices, payment statuses, deductions and outstanding payments, delivering accurate, professional service.

You will investigate concerns, update supplier accounts as needed, and maintain records while meeting quality and productivity targets. Training, coaching and career growth are offered.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / NSC or equivalent.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Good problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Basic computer and data entry skills.
• Ability to type at least 20 words per minute.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A reliable work ethic and excellent attendance.
• A clear criminal record.
• Ability to successfully pass a drug screening assessment.
• 1–2 years of customer service experience, preferably within a contact centre.
• Previous experience handling payment-related, invoice or supplier inquiries.
• Experience in accounts payable support, payment processing or financial services customer support would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Respond to inbound customer inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
• Assist business customers and suppliers with invoice, payment status and outstanding payment queries.
• Provide information regarding payment confirmations, remittance details and payment deductions.
• Investigate customer concerns and work towards timely, effective resolutions.
• Assist with requests to update supplier account and banking details, following the required verification procedures.
• Process customer requests and maintain accurate account records.
• Document customer interactions and actions taken using internal systems.
• Follow company policies, data protection requirements, compliance procedures and quality standards.
• Escalate complex queries when necessary.
• Achieve customer satisfaction, quality and productivity targets.
• Participate in ongoing training and development.
• Maintain regular attendance and schedule adherence.
