iStaff Recruitment is seeking a qualified Accountant in the Winelands region. The role requires an Accounting Degree with articles or 3 years of solid accounting experience, plus cost accounting exposure and advanced Excel skills.

Forex transaction experience is preferred. Responsibilities include daily transaction processing, ensuring timely supplier and producer payments, bank reconciliations, cash flow forecasting, and month-end/year-end closings.

Formación

• Accounting Degree required with Articles or 3 years solid accounting experience.
• Experience in cost accounting is beneficial.
• Advanced Excel skills are essential.
• Exposure/experience with forex transactions required.

Responsabilidades

• Handle everyday money transactions, including bills, receipts, and ledger updates.
• Ensure payments to suppliers and producers are correct and on time.
• Reconcile bank accounts daily with company records.
• Forecast cash flow and assist cash planning for the business.
• Manage ledgers on producer payments.
• Assist with closing books monthly and yearly.
• Consolidate financial information from different parts of the company.
• Reconcile inter-company transfers and maintain clean records.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Accounting Degree + Articles or
2. Accounting Degree + 3 years solid accounting experience
3. Cost accounting experience
4. Advanced Excel
5. Exposure/experience with forex transactions

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Handle everyday money transactions (like bills, money owed to us, and ledger updates).
• Make sure payments to suppliers and producers and within the company are correct and on time.
• Check bank accounts daily to make sure they match our records.
• Help predict how much cash the company will have and plan for it.
• Manage ledgers on producer payments
• Help with closing the books at the end of each month and year.
• Combine financial information from different parts of the company.
• Reconcile any money transfers between different company parts.
• Keep good records for all combined financial accounts.
