Job summary

Delaire Graff Estate is seeking an Accountant to support the Financial Manager and Finance Team in ensuring all financial functions run smoothly and efficiently.

The role covers wine costing, sales analysis, SAWIS and excise returns, cash book capture, GL entries, debtors/creditors administration, international payments, stock and fixed asset management, insurance, and audit assistance. Fluency in English and Afrikaans is required.

Qualifications

• BCom Accounting or similar qualification.
• SAIPA/CIMA articles advantageous.
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
• Wine industry experience advantageous.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
• Experience with Sage Evolution 200 or similar accounting package.
• Previous exposure to Easipos POS advantageous.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Taking ownership of duties.
• Ability to maintain professional relationships with all departments.
• Flexible and accountable.

Responsibilities

• Processing of wine costing and wine manufacturing.

• Insurance policy maintenance and handling of claims.

• Wine sales and costing analysis.
• Administration of SAWIS and submission of monthly return.
• Administration of excise and submission of monthly return.
• Capturing of cash book, petty cash and daily cash-up reconciliation.
• General ledger including journal entries.
• Debtors (Local and Foreign) administration including issuing of invoices, and collections.
• Creditors (Local and Foreign) administration including capturing of invoices, reconciliations and loading of payments.
• International payments and calculating foreign exchange differences and re-valuations.
• Stock administration including invoice capturing and monthly stock take.
• Fixed Asset Register maintenance.
• Insurance policy maintenance and handling of claims.
• Assistance with Annual Audit.

• B Comm Accounting or similar qualification.
• Completed SAIPA/CIMA articles will be advantageous.
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
