Job summary

Placements24 seeks a supportive Academic Advisor to guide students through higher education at their Nelspruit campus. You will provide personalized advising on course selection, degree planning, and career exploration to help students stay on track for graduation.

You will educate students on university policies, connect them with tutoring and counseling services, and monitor progress to ensure success. Strong communication and empathy are essential in this role.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in education, counseling, student affairs, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in academic advising or student support in higher education.
  • Strong understanding of university structures and degree requirements.
  • Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with diverse student populations with empathy.
  • Proficiency in student information systems and advising technologies.

Responsibilities
