Overview

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Data Engineer, Databricks in Latin America.

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a key role in guiding organizations through their data modernization journeys by leveraging Databricks and cloud-based data solutions. You will design, develop, and optimize data pipelines, architectures, and analytical workflows that enable actionable insights for fast-paced, innovative companies. Working closely with technical and business teams, you will act as a trusted advisor, ensuring data solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with organizational objectives. This role offers exposure to cutting-edge distributed data processing, streaming systems, and advanced analytics in a collaborative, fully remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines and data workflows using Databricks and related technologies
• Implement data warehousing, distributed data processing, and streaming solutions for large-scale datasets
• Advise customers on best practices for data security, governance, and architecture
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Optimize and monitor data pipelines for performance, reliability, and scalability
• Develop and maintain documentation, standards, and reusable components for the data engineering team

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering roles
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Databricks; Databricks Data Engineer certification is preferred
• Strong expertise with Python, PySpark, Spark SQL, and Databricks Delta Lake technology
• Experience with Spark Structured Streaming, Delta Live Tables (DLT), and cloud data stacks
• Advanced SQL skills and familiarity with relational and modern databases
• Ability to work collaboratively in remote teams, provide technical leadership, and act as a trusted advisor
