Job summary

LiveRamp is seeking a Principal Data Scientist, Analytics to design scalable data products and self-service analytics for product and engineering teams. You will build semantic layers, dashboards, and predictive models using BigQuery, Python, and SQL, delivering trusted insights at scale.

The role emphasizes experimentation, governance, and leadership, mentoring analysts, and partnering with cross-functional teams to embed analytics into the product lifecycle and drive measurable business impact.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in Data Science and Analytics with high-impact product insights at scale.
• Expert-level proficiency in Python and SQL; comfortable with massive datasets in cloud environments (BigQuery).
• Experience building complex DS models and utilizing LLM models; strong data tooling knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and certify reusable, self-service metrics, dashboards, and analytics products for Product and Engineering teams.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to embed analytics into the product lifecycle and decision logic.
• Create semantic layers and metric frameworks powering AI-assisted insights and natural language querying.
• Develop predictive, diagnostic, and causal models to understand product adoption and monetization.
• Own experimentation strategy including A/B testing and causal inference.
• Lead cross-functional analytics projects and mentor analysts and data scientists.
