UNICEF Venezuela Country Office is seeking an Emergency Officer to sustain preparedness and response capacity for earthquakes and other emergencies. You will work with the Emergency Manager to monitor crisis areas and coordinate with partners.

The role covers emergency preparedness, response, and project management to ensure child protection, health, nutrition, WASH, and education in emergencies are integrated into programs. Fluent Spanish and English are required.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Public Health, Nutrition, Disaster/Emergency Management, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of progressively responsible experience in programme formulation, planning, management and evaluation, including emergency programme management and operations.
• Proven experience in programming with and for children and young people in emergency and post‑emergency situations.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, communication and advocacy skills.
• Fluency/Proficiency in both Spanish and English is required.

Responsabilidades

• Emergency preparedness, emergency response, and emergency project management, coordinating with the Emergency Manager.

• Monitor developments in crisis areas and maintain effective partnerships with government and humanitarian partners.
