Job summary

Canopy is hiring a Business Systems Analyst to own, optimize, and scale Zuora, our core billing and subscription management system. You will design workflows, enable automation, and drive cross-system integrations to support growth and new products.

The role emphasizes problem solving, data accuracy, and reducing manual work through AI-driven solutions, with a hybrid in Draper, UT in-office schedule.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience owning Zuora or another billing system; 5+ years preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, or a related discipline.
• Strong system design fundamentals with a proven hands-on record of solving business problems.
• Direct, deep experience with quote-to-cash processes, billing system design, and business operations in a SaaS environment.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage Canopy's daily operations in Zuora.
• Design and optimize workflows for billing, subscription management and financial reporting, with focus on automation, scalability, and accuracy.
• Strategize and build the vision for how Canopy uses Zuora.
• Anticipate business needs and deliver functionality to support new product launches, pricing changes, and internal process changes.
• Drive seamless cross-system integrations and data flows across business systems.
• Identify and implement AI-powered automation to improve data accuracy, efficiency, and user experience.
• Partner with system owners and business stakeholders to align tools with complete end-to-end business processes within Zuora.
• Communicate solutions and tradeoffs clearly to both technical and business audiences.
• Build and maintain documentation on system architecture, processes, and integrations.
• Streamline processes, improve usability, and reduce manual work through automation and AI-driven solutions.
• Identify gaps and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
