Job summary

Vanguard is seeking a technical subject matter expert for the Threat Mitigation Team within its CSOC to manage and optimize the Zscaler security platform, focusing on ZIA, ZPA, Cloud Firewall, ATP, SSL inspection, and data protection.

The role collaborates with Network Engineering, Infrastructure, Endpoint Management, and Business Applications to implement security controls that safeguard enterprise users and data while preserving a seamless user experience.

Qualifications

• Experience administering Zscaler Cloud security platforms including ZIA, ZPA, Cloud Firewall, ATP, SSL inspection services.
• Ability to design, implement and maintain security policies within the platform and perform policy reviews.
• Experience assisting and responding to escalated incidents with Incident Response teams.
• Ability to represent CSOC in enterprise-wide security initiatives and projects.
• Experience analyzing multiple data sources to identify threats and vulnerabilities.

Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor and maintain Zscaler Cloud security platforms, including ZIA, ZPA, Cloud Firewall, ATP, SSL inspection services, Browser Isolation and Sandbox services.
• Design, implement and maintain the security policies used in the platform, including policy change requests and impact assessments.
• Independently assist and respond to escalated operational or security incidents collaborating with Incident Response teams.
• Provide support in representing CSOC in enterprise-wide security initiatives and projects.
• Perform analysis of logs, traffic and other datasets to identify threats and vulnerabilities.
• Develop ad-hoc reports as required by management that require in-depth analysis.
• Collaborate with cyber team on research projects involving event analysis to identify trends.
• Identify real-time attack patterns and propose mitigation strategies.
• Mentor junior team members to improve their technical acumen.
• Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
