Qualifications

• Completion of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Four years of experience in customer service work including experience with zoning, building, construction, permitting, plan review; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties.

Responsibilities

• Assists the public applying for permits and completes necessary documentation.
• Explains permitting procedures to the public and responds to permit inquiries.
• Acts as contact person and handles correspondence between customers, staff, zoning coordinators, and plan reviewers.
• Examines construction plans and specifications to ensure compliance with building, drainage, zoning, and codes.
