Job summary

The Great Basin Institute at Zion National Park in Springdale, UT is seeking a Visitor Services Assistant for a 39-week, full-time role. You will support fee collection at busy entrance stations and campgrounds, and provide park information to visitors in a high-volume setting.

Responsibilities include issuing permits, assisting with traffic control, and distributing park publications. A valid driver's license and background check are required; housing stipend is available.

Qualifications

• Cash handling experience and ability to use fee collection technology.
• Experience in high-volume customer service environments.
• Ability to follow policies and procedures precisely.
• Must provide a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Fee collection at entrance stations and campgrounds, processing payments by cash, credit card, or check.
• Issue oversize vehicle permits and verify vehicle dimensions.
• Provide general park orientation information and distribute publications.
• Perform light campground maintenance and conduct roving checks for compliance.
• Assist with administrative duties including deposits and stock verification.
• Traffic control duties at the Zion Mt. Carmel Tunnel and communicate via park radio.
