Job summary

Pritchard Sports & Entertainment Group at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Zero Waste Sorter. You will collect, sort, and dispose of waste generated during events, ensuring arena remains a zero-waste venue and aligning with the vision.

The role requires learning the process during training, handling heavy sorting tasks, and working a non-standard schedule including nights and weekends. Bilingual English/Spanish encouraged.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy equipment (up to 200 lbs.).
• Hand-sort waste.
• Ability to work a non-standard schedule that may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Punctual and reliable communicator.
• Positive attitude and consistent motivation to work.
• Sorters must keep contamination rates low.
• Take direction from Hawks, Pritchard, and Levy employees.
• Work well with all departments.
• Bilingual (English and Spanish) encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Hand-sort waste.
• Separate items into streams: landfill, compostable, bottles/cans, cardboard, paper, glass, etc.
• New hires will learn the process during training.
• The sorting team must open every item within every trash bag before separating waste items.
• Each shift completes a mandatory checklist before leaving.
