Job summary

Atlanta Hawks in Atlanta, GA are seeking a Sustainability Manager to support Zero Waste initiatives across State Farm Arena facilities. You will monitor environmental impact, collect data, and implement cost-effective waste-reduction strategies to keep operations running smoothly.

You’ll educate staff, coordinate with vendors, generate reports for senior management, and help develop campaigns that showcase Hawk’s sustainability practices while ensuring compliance and efficient asset management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• General knowledge of sustainability (e.g., waste, natural resources, renewable energies, thermodynamics).
• Experience integrating sustainability into facility/asset management for large organizations.
• Experience collecting and analyzing cross-departmental data; preparing technical reports and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Set and communicate daily objectives for zero waste and energy conservation.
• Educate and train team members on sustainability programs.
• Coordinate sustainability efforts with internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage on-site waste, recycling and compost collection and vendor pickups.
• Create and maintain a sustainability database with volumes, weights and diversion rates.
