Job summary

San Jose Conservation Corps + Charter School in San Jose, CA seeks a Supervisor I, Zero Waste, to oversee daily operations of the Zero Waste unit, maintain records, and support the team in executing projects and events. This is a full-time, in-person role reporting to the Zero Waste Operations Manager.

You will manage corpsmember engagement, monitor safety, coordinate with partners, and help divert waste from landfills. Local travel up to 50% across Santa Clara County is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in operations, waste management, or conservation preferred.
• Ability to supervise corpsmembers and work with partners.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and operational support for Zero Waste programs, ensuring documentation and data management.
• Monitor project performance, maintain tracking systems, and prepare reports on outcomes and metrics.
• Coordinate scheduling and internal communications to keep the team on track.
• Lead and mentor corpsmembers to foster growth and teamwork.
• Ensure safety policies are followed and incidents are reported promptly.
• Support planning and execution of waste diversion activities and events.
