Job summary

GreenWaste is seeking an Operations Supervisor in San Jose, CA to oversee day-to-day plant operations and lead a team of five to ten staff. The role requires strong safety leadership, incident-free management, and coordination with the Operations Manager.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 2+ years in solid waste, recycling, or related industrial operations preferred.
• Prior management experience required.
• Must maintain a valid California Driver License and acceptable DMV record.
• Proficiency in English is required.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise a team of five to ten employees.
• Troubleshoot and maintain the anaerobic digestion and support systems.
• Complete daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly site inspections.
• Evaluate workflow and monitor the control system to ensure operational efficiency.
• Organize and distribute training and educational material for the team.
• Review safety requirements with the team and enforce safety policies.
• Monitor and oversee special projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
