Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking an Illumio Zero Trust Platform Engineer to lead design, deployment, and optimization of Illumio Core and Edge across on-prem, virtualized, and cloud environments. You will develop workflows, segmentation models, and runbooks while integrating with SIEM, SOAR, CMDB, and vulnerability scanners.

Responsibilities include traffic analysis with VEN telemetry, policy recommendations, and lifecycle management.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, cloud security, or infrastructure engineering.
• 3+ years of Linux/Windows systems, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• 2+ years building solutions for highly regulated environments (finance, healthcare, federal, energy).
• 1+ years with infrastructure automation tools.
• 1+ years with REST APIs and scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Secret clearance required.
• Education options with degrees aligned to IT project support and lifecycle knowledge.
• Ability to obtain DoD 8570 IAT Level III certification within 45 days and DoD 8570.01-M CSP/CSP-like certs within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, deployment, configuration, and optimization of Illumio Core and Illumio Edge across on-prem, virtualized, and cloud environments.
• Develop Illumio workflows, runbooks, dashboards, and segmentation models for workloads and critical apps.
• Integrate Illumio with SIEM, SOAR, CMDB, vulnerability scanners, and cloud controls.
• Analyze traffic with VEN telemetry and propose policy improvements to reduce attack surface.
• Collaborate with application owners to onboard workloads and validate segmentation plans.
• Perform lifecycle management including upgrades, health checks, cert operations, and policy governance.
