Job summary

GuidePoint Security seeks a seasoned Illumio Zero Trust Segmentation Platform Engineer to architect, deploy, and optimize policies across on‑premises, cloud, and virtual environments. The role focuses on segmentation, labeling frameworks, and enforcement boundaries for critical workloads.

The candidate will integrate Illumio with SIEM/SOAR, CMDB, and automation pipelines while collaborating with security architects to align with NIST 800-207 standards.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance and willingness to take a polygraph exam.
• 5+ years in cybersecurity, cloud security, or infrastructure engineering.
• 3+ years on Linux/Windows, virtualization, and cloud environments.
• 1+ year with REST APIs, scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Experience with infrastructure automation tools (Ansible, Terraform).

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, configure, and optimize Illumio Core and Edge across environments.
• Architect and implement Zero Trust segmentation policies and labeling frameworks.
• Develop Illumio workflows, dashboards, and segmentation models for enterprise workloads.
• Integrate Illumio with SIEM/SOAR, CMDB, vulnerability scanners, and cloud controls.
• Conduct traffic flow analysis and build policy recommendations to reduce risk.
• Troubleshoot performance, VEN installation issues, and policy conflicts.
• Collaborate with application owners to onboard workloads and manage changes.
• Lifecycle management: upgrades, health checks, certificates, governance.
• Align Illumio policy models with NIST 800-207 and broader Zero Trust guidance.
