Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking an Illumio Zero Trust Platform Engineer to lead design, deployment, and optimization of Illumio Core and Illumio Edge across on-premises, virtualized, and cloud environments. You will architect Zero Trust segmentation, map dependencies, label resources, and implement zone-based controls while integrating with SIEM, CMDB, vulnerability scanners, and automation pipelines.

You will partner with architects to align Illumio policy models with NIST 800-207 strategies,

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in cybersecurity, cloud security, or infrastructure engineering.
• 3+ years Linux/Windows systems, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• 2+ years in regulated mission-critical environments (finance, healthcare, federal, energy).
• 1+ years in infrastructure automation tools.
• 1+ years REST APIs and scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Secret clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, deployment, configuration, and optimization of Illumio Core and Illumio Edge across on-premises, virtualized, and cloud environments.
• Develop workflows, runbooks, dashboards, and segmentation models for enterprise workloads and critical applications.
• Integrate Illumio with SIEM, SOAR, CMDB, C2C, vulnerability scanners, cloud-native controls, and automation pipelines.
• Perform traffic flow analysis with Illumio VEN telemetry and build policy recommendations to reduce attack surface.
• Collaborate with application owners on onboarding workloads, validate segmentation plans, and support change management.
