Job summary

World Wide Technology (WWT) seeks a Network Engineer for the Government Services team in Washington, DC, on-site. You will support the deployment, operation, and sustainment of cybersecurity platforms in a DoD environment, focusing on zero-trust, platform operations, automation, threat intel integration, and cyber defense analytics.

You will design and implement distributed networks, SD-WAN across many sites, configure routers/switches/firewalls, document architectures, and mentor junior

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in network security or network engineering with a Zero Trust focus.
• Current TS/SCI clearance.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification.
• Strong expertise in firewall architecture and security best practices.
• Experience with network security technologies (Palo Alto, Cisco, Juniper).
• Proficient with routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, STP, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, TLS, SSH, HTTP/S.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design, implementation, and maintenance of a highly distributed zero-trust network.
• Design and implement SD-WAN across dozens of sites at a global scale.
• Configure, install, and manage routers, switches, firewalls; plan upgrades and optimizations.
• Maintain protocol compatibility standards and network documentation.
• Mentor junior network engineers and collaborate with security and systems teams.
