Job summary

The Clorox Company is seeking an experienced Plant Environment, Health and Safety Manager to drive a comprehensive HSE program and sustain a Zero Loss culture at the site in Virginia. You will lead safety initiatives, regulatory compliance, and training, partnering with corporate HSE to implement standards across the plant.

You will mentor leadership and frontline teams, manage investigations, and advance a world-class HSE environment through effective communication and risk reduction actions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of work experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment, leading an HSE program.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Working knowledge of environmental regulatory management.
• Experience supporting or leading a state mandated Worker’s Compensation Program.
• Experience understanding and interpreting regulatory documents (NFPA, OSHA/DOL, EPA, state plans).
• Ability to perform Root Cause Analysis on complex systems and programs.
• Experience leading manufacturing improvement tools (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks autonomously and lead capital projects.

Responsibilities

• Drive safety process improvements to reduce at-risk conditions and build a Zero Loss culture.
• Lead development of plant HSE strategy and safety culture change.
• Manage HSE team and mentor leadership, technical and floor teams.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA and local regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate and mentor HSE education and training initiatives.
• Serve as point of contact for inspectors and regulatory bodies.
