Job summary

Clorox is seeking a Site HSE Manager to drive sustainable health, safety, and environmental programs at our Virginia facility. The role steers the development and implementation of a comprehensive HSE strategy to sustain a Zero Loss culture while ensuring regulatory compliance and safe operating practices.

You will lead an HSE team, mentor leadership, and partner with corporate to standardize safety across the site.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of work experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment, leading an HSE program.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Working knowledge of environmental regulatory management.
• Experience supporting or leading a state mandated Worker’s Compensation Program.
• Experience understanding and interpreting regulatory documents, such as NFPA, OSHA/DOL, EPA, and state plans.
• Ability to lead thorough Root Cause Analysis into complex systems & programs.
• Experience with leading manufacturing tools i.e. Lean Mfg., Six Sigma, Autonomous maintenance, Focused Improvement, Kaizen, SMED, etc.
• Ability to effectively manage, prioritize and execute multiple tasks in an autonomous way.
• Demonstrated history effectively leading HSE sections of capital projects.
• Current certification as a trainer of First Aid/CPR/AED

Responsibilities

• Lead safety process improvement projects to reduce at-risk conditions and build a Zero Loss culture.
• Support and lead development of plant HSE strategy.
• Lead safety culture change, focusing on mindsets and behaviors.
• Raise hazard awareness and lower risk tolerance across the plant.
• Engage teams to provide support and solutions to HSE needs.
• Lead HSE team and committees; mentor leadership and operating teams.
• Drive application of best practices and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and train assigned group of HSE leads for day-to-day support.
• Partner with corporate HSE to ensure plant standards are implemented.
