Qualifications

• Aerospace or automotive background with a Zero Defects mindset.
• Leadership experience guiding technical teams and driving change.
• Excellent communication of complex data to executives and customers.
• Zero Defects philosophy in partnership with Quality, Operations and Mfg Eng.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to PCC Metals & Forgings plants and align engineering teams.
• Drive production processes and adopt new manufacturing tech to improve yield and first pass yield.
• Lead, mentor and develop a high performing Technical/Engineering team with collaboration and accountability.
• Manage customer communications on technical topics and interface with customers during site visits.
• Lead teams in solving problems affecting vertically integrated businesses.
• Oversee the R&D lab including facilities, equipment and personnel; align with Sales strategy and NPI.
• Use APQP toolbox to ensure product capability and successful outcomes.
• Provide advanced metallurgical/engineering support to plant and mill development projects.
• Partner with Quality to deploy Zero Defects toolkit: process monitoring, problem solving, measurement systems.
• Develop and execute site Technology Roadmap; enable Industry 4.0 digital transformation.
• Represent site on technology matters and advise leadership as appropriate.
