Job summary

Precision Castparts' TIMET Toronto, OH production department seeks a Chief Metallurgist to lead all technical and metallurgical quality aspects of the unit.

You will oversee metallurgical processes, ensure product capability meets customer requirements, and drive improvements with DOE/MPE planning, cost efficiency, and strong customer relationships. The role includes supervising metallurgists and coordinating with research and sales teams.

Qualifications

• Four year Bachelor's degree in metals or materials discipline.
• Five years experience in metals processing industry; titanium experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee metallurgical processes and ensure product capability.
• Ensure customer approvals and fixed practice requirements are followed.
• Optimize processes for cost and efficiency.
• Plan DOEs and MPEs to improve process capability.
• Manage customer relationships and address technical questions.
• Provide technical leadership and train metallurgists.
