Job summary

The Process Quality Engineer role at GE Vernova in Atlanta, GA focuses on embedding a Zero Defect culture and improving repair processes to ensure product integrity and regulatory compliance. The position emphasizes driving quality improvements, defect reduction, and cross-functional collaboration.

You will work with Operations and Engineering to implement corrective actions, develop standard work instructions, and train staff while conducting internal audits to sustain excellence in the service

Qualifications

• Ability to work 1st Shift (7am-3pm).
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical) or HS diploma with 4+ years manufacturing experience.
• 3 years of manufacturing quality experience.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship now or in the future.
• This position is 100% onsite at GE Atlanta, SC Service Center.

Responsibilities

• Drive a ‘zero defect’ culture with Quality, sustaining operations compliance to regulatory & non-regulatory requirements.
• Lead and drive continuous improvement activities, proactively building in quality to repair processes and procedures to ensure repair and detection methods are robust.
• Drive and lead problem solving activities deploying corrective and preventative actions to reduce defects and eliminate reoccurring quality defects.
• Daily support to the operations team to ensure compliance repair methods and to Quality Management System procedures.
• Drive resolution of actions relating to non-conformance reports, Stop Works Events and Quality Concerns.
• Lead defect reduction projects and working inclusively with Operations and Engineering to resolve shop floor quality issues promptly.
• Championing quality initiatives and CoPQ reduction projects in the cell. Conducting assigned internal audits to ensure compliance to local procedures.
• Support training activities for all employees relating to quality.
• Develop work instructions to facilitate a standard of work related to projects and components within the service center.
