The Breakout Company seeks a freelance thumbnail designer to craft eye-catching YouTube thumbnails for tech, business and pop culture channels. You will translate ideas into visuals that attract clicks and stand out in crowded feeds, delivering high-quality concepts on a project-by-project basis while coordinating with editors and writers.

A strong portfolio of thumbnail work is required, and proficiency in Photoshop or similar tools is essential.

• Design thumbnails for YouTube videos across tech, business and pop culture content
• Turn a video's idea or hook into a clear, eye-catching thumbnail that drives clicks
• Create multiple thumbnail options for the same video when needed
• Work with our editors, writers and producers, take feedback and turn revisions around on time

This is a freelance role on a project‑by‑project basis.

PREFERRED CANDIDATE PROFILE

• Experience designing thumbnails for YouTube channels
• A portfolio of thumbnail work (required)
• Strong skills in Photoshop or similar design tools
• A good sense of composition, typography and what makes viewers click
• Clear communication and ownership of your deadlines
• Bonus: experience with tech, business or pop culture channels
