Job summary

Tennis Channel seeks a freelance YouTube Editor in Santa Monica to own editing for YouTube long-form and Shorts. You will transform content into YouTube-optimized pieces with strong hooks, pacing, and chapters, while producing podcast cutdowns for multiple platforms.

You will work with the Long-Form Pod team and Director of Video Content, aligning with strategy and weekly publishing cadence, including weekend tournament coverage.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years editing and/or producing YouTube content with growth results.
• Experience on a brand or creator channel with analytics.
• Strong understanding of YouTube algorithm fundamentals.
• Proficiency with Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve.
• Ability to design thumbnails or direct art direction.
• Experience with Shorts, TikTok, and Instagram Reels editing.
• Familiarity with YouTube Studio and SEO tools.

Responsibilities

• Edit and optimize YouTube long-form pieces (8–25 min) with strong hooks and chaptering.
• Produce YouTube-native long-form content with producers.
• Manage YouTube content calendar with the Director.
• Create weekly podcast cutdowns for Shorts, TikTok, and Reels.
• Ensure platform-native styling and thumbnails for cuts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on publish timing.
