Job summary

Hearst Media Production Group is seeking a freelance Video Audience Development Manager to lead Lucky Dog's YouTube programming strategy, optimize engagement and revenue, and automate executive-ready reporting. You will collaborate with producers to translate data into creative direction and evangelize best practices across teams.

The role reports to the Senior Vice President, Licensing and Distribution, and is on-site four days a week at Hearst offices in Glendale, CA or Charlotte, NC.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in digital video strategy, YouTube programming, audience development, or video analytics.
• Proven track record programming or operating a major YouTube channel or network.
• Advanced fluency in YouTube Studio analytics, content measurement, and experimentation frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Own programming strategy for Lucky Dog YouTube channel, including content direction, scheduling, and presentation.
• Automate weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting with actionable takeaways for production, design, and editorial leadership.
• Partner with sponsorship sales to support YouTube monetization efforts and campaign measurement best practices.
• Analyze viewership trends to inform content optimization and cadence.
