Job summary

YMCA of the Suncoast Greater Palm Harbor Branch is seeking a Shift Lead to supervise the Kids Zone/Teen Center and surrounding areas. This role requires leadership, strong communication with youth, and enforcing safety standards.

The position involves Friday mornings/evenings and weekend mornings, with CPR/First Aid certification required upon hire and ongoing training. A safe, welcoming environment for children and teens is expected.

Qualifications

• Must have good verbal communication skills.
• CPR, AED, and First Aid certification required upon hire.
• Within 90 days: Get SMART trainings; within 6 months: Foundations of Listen First, Engage with Families, etc.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety inspections of Kids Zone.
• Supervise staff and volunteers and ensure safety standards are followed.
• Guide and lead Kids Zone Attendant, volunteers, and children.
• Communicate with parents and maintain direct lines of communication.
• Report suspicious activity and maintain a clean, organized facility.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings; comply with YMCA policies.
