Job summary

The Community Youth Center of San Francisco (CYC) seeks a Program Coordinator for its YAWL Work Based Learning program. The role oversees the Work Based Learning portfolio, supervises staff, runs workshops, and ensures quality services for youth ages 16-24.

You will coordinate internships with SF businesses, provide case management, career guidance, and connect participants to resources. A Bachelor’s degree and experience with diverse youth are required; willingness to work evenings and weekends

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
• Experience working with diverse youth backgrounds, preferably within youth workforce development programs.
• Previous experience in program coordination, internship coordination, and development
• Ability to work with ethnically diverse groups of low-income youth as well as English learners to support their social and emotional needs during transition.
• At least 1 year of experience supervising a team of three or more staff.
• Experience working with San Francisco's diverse communities and neighborhoods.
• Experience working with community-based service providers and private sector partners.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Zoom, and other technology platforms.
• Experience facilitating workshops for youth and young adults.
• Ability to work as part of a team, to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and to work independently in a high-pressure environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Work Based Learning program and service delivery model.
• Develop policy and procedure recommendations to strengthen the program model and collaboration among partners.
• Ensure program development and service delivery align with quality standards and meet deliverables.
• Complete required documentation, reports, and deliverables in a timely manner.
• Lead outreach and recruitment efforts, cultivating partnerships and a robust referral network.
• Develop and facilitate job readiness training workshops (e.g., resume building, interview skills).
• Coordinate subsidized internships with local SF businesses and provide support to sites and participants.
• Provide intensive case management and wraparound services to address barriers to work and school success.
• Develop individualized vocational goals and career plans with assessments and guidance.
• Coordinate GED attainment, tutoring, and workforce training services.
• Provide 1:1 career guidance and job search/placement support and conduct follow-ups.
