Job summary

The Walnut YMCA Family Location is seeking a Program Coordinator for the Workforce Teen Program to support youth pathways and community wellbeing. You will collaborate with the Program Director on events, curricula, and reporting, while guiding students through internships and program milestones.

Ideal candidates bring strong interpersonal and communication skills, a high school diploma or equivalent, and knowledge of youth development and workforce readiness.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to serve a diverse community.
• Understanding of workforce development principles, youth mentorship, career readiness, and program management.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Program Director on operational needs, including event planning, curriculum development, and reporting.
• Lead program participants through all components of the program, including hiring process, document collection, and processing.
• Inform students, parents, and partners of program timelines, deadlines, and events.
• Facilitate Professional Development workshops with cohorts.
• Coordinate and secure internship placements for students aligned with career interests.
• Monitor and document internship hours to ensure program requirements are met.
• Build and maintain relationships with partners to expand program growth.
