Job summary

Goodwill Industries is seeking a dedicated Workforce Liaison to partner with WorkOne and local employers across LaPorte, Porter, and Lake Counties. The role focuses on creating, marketing, and placing out-of-school youth (ages 16-24) into work experiences, on-the-job training, and employment opportunities.

The successful candidate will build partnerships, coordinate outreach, conduct screenings, and provide ongoing on-site support to ensure successful job placements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• Strong counseling and listening skills to guide youth and employers.
• Proven ability to interpret career assessments and educational resources.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with high data-entry accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with local employers, youth-serving orgs, and post-secondary institutions.
• Partner with WorkOne to convert leads into work experience, OJT, or employment.
• Schedule local travel for outreach, employer services, marketing, and recruitment.
• Screen, interview, and hire Out-of-School Youth; facilitate communication between candidates and employers.
• Conduct job analyses to ensure long-term fit between youth and employer.
• Provide on-site and off-site job support to ensure retention and success.
• Educate employers on ADA compliance and accommodations.
• Create and deliver marketing materials to drive program interest and enrollment.
• Coordinate with WorkOne and Goodwill Career Advisors on recruitment and training initiatives.
• Attend staff meetings and provide placement reports.
