Job summary

MassHire Metro North Workforce Board is seeking a Youth Workforce Manager to drive youth workforce strategy across the Metro North region. The role focuses on expanding employer-driven career exploration, work-based learning, internships, and pathways for high school students and young adults.

The hybrid position requires in-person presence 2-3 days weekly at schools or MNWB offices in Malden, with engagement across schools, youth providers, and employers.

Qualifications

• Experience working with high school-aged youth in workforce development, education, employment, internships, or work-based learning programs.
• Ability to develop and maintain relationships with employers, schools, community organizations, and workforce partners.
• Strong project management skills, including coordinating multiple initiatives, events, timelines, and deliverables.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English; able to engage diverse youth respectfully.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ability to learn program management systems.
• Bi/Multi-lingual abilities, especially English and Spanish, Portuguese or Haitian-Creole.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Connecting Activities toward employer-driven, work-based learning models.
• Develop partnerships with schools and employers to plan career events and opportunities.
• Support WIOA Youth and YouthWorks program elements, including case management and data entry.
• Maintain records in Salesforce and MOSES database; monitor program outcomes.
• Assist with program administration and reporting as required.
