Job summary

Common Wealth Development seeks a Youth Employment Coordinator to lead Madison-area youth workforce programming, deliver financial education, job placement, and mentoring, and build school and business partnerships. The role requires evening/weekend hours and a valid driver's license with daily car access.

A $2,000 annual bonus is offered for Spanish and/or Hmong proficiency. The position emphasizes collaboration with Madison Metropolitan School District and external partners to provide

Qualifications

• Experience with teens from low-income homes and racially diverse backgrounds.
• Knowledge of workforce development as part of community/economic development.
• Commitment to racial justice, health equity, and youth empowerment.
• 2+ years coordinating multiple programs in workforce development.
• Experience facilitating trainings with teens/young adults.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Spanish and/or Hmong language abilities are a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.

Responsibilities

• Recruit for, coordinate, and facilitate programs for Madison-area youth.
• Mentor youth to support positive employment experiences and goals.
• Develop employment opportunities with partner businesses.
• Maintain relationships with external partners and schools.
• Network with businesses, schools, and families to promote programs.
• Ensure high-quality programming and accurate records by the team.
• Perform additional tasks as requested.
