Job summary

The Community Youth Center of San Francisco (CYC) is seeking a Program Coordinator for the YAWL Work Based Learning program. You will oversee the Work Based Learning portfolio, supervise staff, run workshops, and ensure best practice models and timely deliverables.

Responsibilities include leading outreach, coordinating internships with local SF employers, delivering 1:1 career guidance, and collaborating with partners to support youth toward college and career success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Experience working with diverse youth in workforce development.
• Experience in program coordination and internship coordination.
• Ability to work with ethnically diverse, low-income youth and English learners.
• At least 1 year supervising a team of three or more staff.
• Experience with San Francisco communities and partners.
• Strong communication skills and proficiency with MS Office, Google Workspace, Zoom.
• Experience facilitating workshops for youth and young adults.
• Ability to work in a team and handle multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Bilingual in Cantonese/Mandarin/Spanish and English preferred.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Young Adult Work Link program and comprehensive service delivery model.
• Develop policy and procedure recommendations to strengthen the program model and collaboration among grantee and coalition partners.
• Ensure program development and service delivery align with Youth Program Quality Standards and meet deliverables.
• Complete all required documentation, reports, and program deliverables in a timely manner.
• Lead citywide outreach and recruitment efforts, cultivating strategic community partnerships and developing a robust referral network.
• Develop and facilitate job readiness training workshops, including professionalism, career exploration, resume building, job search, and interview skills.
• Coordinate subsidized internships with local SF businesses and support worksite supervisors and participants.
• Conduct participant assessments and provide intensive case management and wraparound services.
• Develop individualized vocational goals and career plans using assessments, and provide guidance.
• Coordinate GED attainment, tutoring, basic skills remediation, and workforce training services.
• Provide 1:1 career guidance and assist with education and career planning and retention follow-ups.
• Connect participants to CYC resources and other services for barrier removal.
• Supervise, coach and train Program Specialists in training content and outreach.
• Collaborate with the workforce team on program planning and outcomes.
• Coordinate career exploration events and mentoring opportunities for participants.
• Support agency-wide events and other duties as assigned.
