Job summary

CHR in Norwich, CT is seeking a Youth Worker for the Rose Center program. This role provides short-term behavioral health support in a residential setting for distressed youth, focusing on rapid de-escalation, stabilization, and care coordination with families and schools.

The position offers growth opportunities, training participation, and the chance to build meaningful client relationships while helping ensure safe transitions to the next level of care.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience working with youth or similar populations preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Education: AA or higher.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains program standards and policies as required by funders and accrediting bodies.
• Monitor self-administration of client medications per agency policies.
• Collaborates with staff, clients, and families to coordinate care and services.
• Prepares and facilitates educational and skill-building groups and one-on-one interventions.
