Job summary

CHR is seeking a Crisis Therapist for the Youth Mobile Crisis Intervention Services in Middletown, CT. This full-time, on-site role supports 24/7 crisis response and rapid assessment for youth and families.

You will conduct mobile assessments, deliver crisis interventions, and coordinate follow-up with ongoing services, working with schools, hospitals, DCF, and law enforcement, while maintaining high clinical standards.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree or higher in related field required.
• Licensure as LMSW, LPC-A, or LMFT-A required; LCSW, LMFT, LPC licensed preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License for programs where transportation is required.
• Experience working with trauma, mental illness and/or substance use disorders preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides assessment and treatment interventions consistent with the program model.
• Conducts clinical and risk assessments.
• Collaborates with individuals to create individualized, person-centered treatment plans.
• Demonstrates competency in age-related or specialty issues and developmental needs for each population served.
• Maintains collaborative relationships with family members and other service providers.
• Provides crisis assessment and intervention to monitor status of clients in crisis.
• Transports clients using agency vehicles and/or personal vehicles based on program model and setting.
• Participates in weekly supervision, consultations, and meetings.
