Job summary

LifeWorks Austin is seeking a full-time Wellness Coordinator to design, coordinate, and facilitate wellness activities for youth and young adults. The role emphasizes holistic, inclusive, and youth-centered programs with strong community partnerships and occasional after-hours events.

The position is non-exempt, starting at $22.00/hr, paid bi-weekly, with benefits including 24 PTO days per year, 11 holidays, a premium-free medical plan with $100/month HSA contribution, and a 50% match retirement

Qualifications

• Requires GED or HS Diploma and 1 year of peer support experience.
• Must obtain Certified Peer Support Specialist (PSS) certification within 9 months of hire.
• Requires lived experience with trauma and substance use or mental health challenges; record of recovery.
• Experience with databases; proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and facilitate wellness activities for youth and young adults.
• Develop partnerships with community vendors and manage logistics of collaborations.
• Lead wellness and recovery-related groups and presentations; promote harm reduction and health education.
• Maintain online documentation of client services and activities in the agency system.
• Ensure accessibility and inclusivity of programs, including after-hours events.
