Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada seeks a Healthy Lifestyles Specialist to lead Health & Wellness and Sports & Recreation programs at the Clubhouse. You will plan, develop, report, and implement programs with the Programs team, and may act as Clubhouse supervisor when needed.

The role requires coordinating with staff, ensuring grant compliance, and promoting positive youth development in a supportive environment. Strong leadership and collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three years of experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization working with youth in a health, wellness, sports, and/or recreation setting.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft and/or Google suite of productivity applications (Word, Excel, Forms, Outlook, etc.).
• Ability to deal effectively with multi-age groups of children, small groups of children in activities and free play, and large groups of children in organized activities.
• Ability to meet deadlines with time constraints and handle multiple demands.
• Strong interpersonal and team leadership skills.
• Ability to interact professionally with the public, families, Youth Development Professionals, and members.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage Healthy Lifestyles programs and activities to support Youth Development Outcomes.
• Plan, create, and administer Healthy Lifestyles programs and activities and ensure grant compliance.
• Monitor program objectives, standards, deadlines, and required metrics.
• Mentor members and maintain a safe, respectful environment across program areas.
• Collaborate with staff to recruit and retain members and communicate program opportunities.
