Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada is seeking an Education Specialist to oversee all teen programs at assigned Clubhouses, collaborating with the Programs team to plan, report, and implement activities. The role may act as Clubhouse supervisor in absence of leadership.

Key duties include program management, grant compliance, and mentoring members while ensuring a safe, engaging environment and adherence to organizational standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three years of experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization working with middle school and/or high school aged youth.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft and/or Google suite of productivity applications (Word, Excel, Forms, Outlook, etc.).
• Ability to deal effectively with multi-age groups of children, small groups of children in activities and free play, and large groups of children in organized activities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, create, and oversee the administration of teen and assigned programs and activities that support Youth Development Outcomes.
• Establish teen program objectives through collaboration with the Programs team that align with organizational goals and mission.
• Oversee the provision of day-to-day program activities in accordance with established standards and goals.
• Maintain grant compliance of all teens and assigned grant programming.
• Ensure members are encouraged to participate in a variety of program areas/activities and receive respect, recognition, instruction, and constructive feedback to develop skills in all program areas.
