Qualifications

• Education and experience: bachelor’s degree or equivalent in education, psychology, social work, behavioral health, or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of PYD, SEL, and Stages of Change models.
• 1–3 years of youth development experience or mentoring youth.
• Ability to pass federal background and CPS clearances.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and retain youth through lunchtime, after-school, evening, and weekend activities.
• Plan and lead activities that support social, academic, and physical wellbeing.
• Mentor and advocate for youth through regular meetings.
• Teach life and social skills, including communication and healthy relationships.
• Design recreational and enrichment activities to promote health and community.
• Coordinate service-learning projects and SSL hours for students.
• Develop individualized plans with SMART goals for youth growth.
• Document outcomes, maintain records, and refer to support services as needed.
• Maintain organized physical and electronic case files.
• Collaborate with school staff to align referrals and programming.
• Attend trainings and meetings to improve service delivery.
• Respond to emergencies and safeguard youth safety following protocols.
