Job summary

Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. is seeking a Facilitator to lead weekly group sessions focused on healthy lifestyles and positive behaviors in home, school, and community settings.

The role requires the ability to relate to diverse youth and families and to work with the program team to assess participant needs. Responsibilities include developing engaging activities, delivering content per curriculum, and maintaining incentives systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required; relevant experience may suffice.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with group interventions for youth is preferred.
• Knowledge of community resources and NJ opportunities is helpful.
• Experience with at-risk youth and families is desirable.

Responsibilities

• With the Director, Advocates, and staff to address participant needs.
• Develop content and activities based on curriculum for group intervention.
• Facilitate weekly group classes as scheduled.
• Collaborate to implement incentives and rewards for participants.
• Administer pre/posttests and help evaluate results.
