Job summary

Northern Children’s Services is seeking a Youth Violence Reduction Specialist (YP3 Coordinator) to design and implement violence prevention programs for youth in schools and at the agency, helping reduce risk factors and promote positive development.

Under supervision, you will facilitate groups aged 11-24, monitor progress with assessments, and collaborate with schools, families, and community partners to create a safe, trauma-informed environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Education, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working with youth, preferably in violence prevention or a related field.
• Experience in group facilitation and counseling.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and facilitate violence prevention programs for youth in schools and onsite at Northern Children’s Services.
• Monitor and evaluate progress using pre-, mid-, and post-program assessments.
• Collaborate with school staff, families, and community partners to ensure program effectiveness.
• Update Apricot database with participant data and outcomes.
