Wedgwood Christian Services seeks a UC Program Youth Treatment Specialist for a full-time role in Grand Rapids, MI. The position supports Baraka UC Home with adolescents, implementing and evaluating treatment, employment training, activities, schooling, and transportation.

You will monitor behavior and provide a positive, guiding presence. Qualifications include 21+ years old, HS diploma or equivalent, valid driver’s license, and vaccination requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; related certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Vaccination requirements for federally funded program (Varicella, MMR, DTaP, Influenza).
• COVID protocol: masks, PPE, quarantine as applicable.

Responsabilités

• Create a therapeutic milieu marked by warmth, empathy and respect.
• Develop, implement and evaluate client treatment programs.
• Monitor client behaviors and hold residents accountable with agency interventions.
• Use crisis intervention techniques (Aegis) and complete required reports.
• Provide a stable, positive role model and maintain a helping relationship.
• Assist with meals, activities, appointments, health needs and records.
• Transport residents to appointments and supervise duties to meet housekeeping standards.
• Attend supervision and team meetings; contribute to planning and feedback.
