Job summary

Rite of Passage is seeking a dedicated Student Transportation Officer for San Pasqual Academy in Escondido, CA. You will safely transport students to school, medical appointments, and activities, while maintaining logs and ensuring welfare throughout trips.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and the ability to pass background checks and health screenings.

Qualifications

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have valid driver’s license and meet ROP eligible driver requirements.
• Must have an acceptable driving record for the past 3 years.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test.
• Be able to pass a search of the child abuse central registry.

Responsibilities

• Transport students to and from school, medical appointments, court hearings, extracurricular activities, and community outings.
• Operate agency vehicles in compliance with laws and policies.
• Supervise youth during transport to ensure safety and well-being.
• Maintain accurate transportation logs and vehicle inspection reports.
• Coordinate schedules with staff to support timely and reliable services.
