Job summary

Rite of Passage is seeking a Maintenance Worker for San Pasqual Academy in Escondido, CA. You’ll maintain buildings, equipment, and grounds, with tasks from painting and drywall to electrical/plumbing minor repairs and repairs.

Preferred: high school diploma or equivalent, valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass background checks, drug screens, and TB testing. We offer comprehensive benefits and a Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• Pass a criminal background clearance check, drug screen, physical, and TB test.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a company vehicle per Rite of Passage requirements.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organization and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain buildings, equipment, and grounds for San Pasqual Academy.
• Perform general maintenance, painting, drywall and basic repairs.
• Handle minor electrical and plumbing tasks, door/window repairs.
• Maintain heating/cooling systems, flooring, roofing, and irrigation.
• Assist with construction/remodeling projects within skill level.
• Perform preventative maintenance and respond to emergency calls.
