Boys & Girls Club of Norman at Center for Children and Families, Inc. (CCFI) seeks a Child Transportation Driver to safely operate a 15-passenger van, transport children on fixed routes, and assist with boarding and exiting, including those with mobility needs.

The role requires a clean driving record, background check, and pre-employment drug testing, with training in child safety and vehicle maintenance. Prior school-vehicular driving experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be 25 years of age or older with clean driving record and pass a background check.
• Comfortable driving a 15-passenger van.
• Prior driving experience, especially with school buses or large vehicles.
• Training in child safety, emergency procedures, and vehicle maintenance.
• Must pass pre-employment drug test and may be subject to random testing.

Responsabilités

• Safely operate assigned vehicle (vans, or minibuses) on fixed or scheduled routes.
• Transport children from school to the Boys & Girls Club site on time, following posted schedules.
• Assist children with boarding and exiting the vehicle, including those with disabilities or mobility needs.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment aboard the vehicle; enforce safety rules and discipline as needed.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle (tires, brakes, lights, safety equipment, fuel) and report any issues immediately.
• Ability to work with children in a calm, authoritative, yet friendly manner.
• Assist with field/activity trips follow established procedures on field/activity trips.
• Must practice safe driving operations at all times. Must comply with all state and federal laws and CCFI/BGCN policies and protocols.
