Job summary

The Union League Boys and Girls Clubs seeks a Van Driver to ensure safe and timely transport of youth to and from sites and program activities. You will uphold the organization's mission by keeping youth safe, respectful, and engaged in a positive environment.

Responsibilities include strict adherence to pickup/drop-off times, conducting vehicle inspections, maintaining logs, and effective communication with parents and staff to support youth development.

Qualifications

• Knowledge: Safe driving practices and child/youth supervision during transport.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; valid driver's license.
• Experience: Prior experience working with youth preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport youth members to and from designated locations.
• Adhere to scheduled pick-up and drop-off times.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report issues promptly.
• Ensure all passengers follow safety rules, including seat belt use.
• Maintain accurate transportation logs and records.
• Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and youth.
• Assist staff in supervising youth during transport.
• Promote a positive and respectful environment consistent with the Club’s values.
