Job summary

CNS Healthcare in Detroit, MI is seeking a Transitional Youth Certified Peer Recovery Coach to join our SUD team. You will provide peer-delivered recovery support to transitional-age youth and young adults (ages 16–26) with substance use disorders, drawing on lived experience to mentor and guide hopeful, practical growth.

Qualifications

• Lived experience as a consumer of mental health and/or SUD services with demonstrated recovery.
• Ability to engage transitional-age youth (16–26) with sensitivity and professionalism.
• Knowledge of recovery principles, harm reduction, and adolescent development.
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal, with diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer-delivered recovery support to transitional-age youth (16–26) with SUDs.
• Assist with engagement in treatment and relapse prevention planning.
• Support education, employment, housing stability, and independent living goals.
• Facilitate recovery-oriented groups and community integration activities.
• Model recovery and self-determination while respecting boundaries and safety.
