Job summary

Center for Positive Changes in San Diego County seeks a Licensed Therapist (LMFT/LPCC/LCSW) to join a multidisciplinary team and provide SMHS for youth in STRTP programs. The role emphasizes trauma-informed, strength-based care, assessment, treatment planning, and care coordination with other professionals.

The position requires CA licensure and at least one year of relevant experience in residential or outpatient mental health services for children and adolescents.

Qualifications

• Eligible candidates must be registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) and meet requirements for one of: LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW.
• At least one year of experience in a residential treatment facility or outpatient mental health program, preferably with children/adolescents.
• Licensure as LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical services to youth in an STRTP setting using trauma-informed, strength-based approaches.
• Perform initial and ongoing clinical assessments and utilize DSM criteria to support diagnoses.
• Develop and update individualized treatment plans, safety plans, and transition plans.
• Provide individual, family, and group therapy and psychoeducation.
• Coordinate care with youth, families, residential staff, MHRS, social workers, and other professionals.
• Assist with risk assessments, crisis planning, and incident debriefing.
• Contribute to clinical supervision and continued education for team members.
• Ensure compliance with CFPC and regulatory requirements.
